Hostas
Hostas provide excellent foliage colour in damp, shady positions with variagated leaves in beautiful fresh greens, lemons, creams and white
- becoming increasingly popular as a container plant
- need protection from slugs and snails - try using beer traps
- produce very lush displays especially when fed with a balanced fertiliser between March and June. Stop feeding after this period or the slugs will be after all that juicy growth!

- can be lifted and stored in a frost free position for the next season
