Lavatera is a quick establishing, free flowering shrub ( from July to the first frosts )
- prune back in late spring ensure the best flowering display
- shelter from cold winds and select a free draining position
- recommended varieties - `rosea` and `barnsley`

Hydrangea
Hydrangeas are one of our most popular summer flowering shrubs. The flower colour of the popular mophead and lace cap varieties will vary with the ph of the soil - acidic soil will produce blue flowers.
